1. Blowing bubbles for the first time
2. An old cane laundry basket found at the markets ($2!) and piles of hand knitted baby clothes. Cane baskets make doing laundry that little bit nicer I find.
3. Emerson's treasures, old and new
4. Brave visitors at the duck pond and a fascinated little Miss
5. A coat of white paint to bring a bookcase back to life
6. A 'new to me' vintage dinner service my parents had hidden away
7. A sweet thrifted basket ($2.50)
8. Wonderful mail - Greer spoiling me with gorgeous wool!

What's making you smile?

I spotted this basket in the latest Spotlight catalogue and had an idea. A happy idea for this little basket lover. A happy little excuse or two to buy some baskets. Hubby was even an accomplice to my mission.

A wool storage device, currently in use for the crochet hexagon blanket. I brought one for Cohen too. Well, I brought one intending to employ it in the stashing of toys for Cohen at least... but two baskets are better than one, no?

PS. I may have brought another basket at the op-shop in town on my way home...

Flea Market Finds...

For two dollars there just didn't seem to be any doubt that this darling was coming home with me.
Perhaps it would be best if we don't mention this purchase to my husband however.
Not all of us understand the important fact that 'one can never have enough baskets'.
I picked up a few vintage things at a charity auction yesterday too...
