Mad about Yo-Yos...

Another addictive craft...
Or maybe I just have an 'addictive personality' when it comes to craft? Either way, I am enjoying the repetition and the break from the crochet, (sigh... feelings of guilt) which I will be going back to shortly...
-
More fabric arrived today that I will share with you on Sunday. And just as excitingly (is this a word?) for me, I will soon have a room all to myself to craft in! Yay! A whole room, which includes the computer and desk, which I mainly use anyway. No more spare bedroom with a double bed in it! Why didn't I think of this/ talk my husband into this sooner?
-
So there has been Ikea shopping for storage, as well as washing, ironing and folding fabric, sorting, chucking, moving from one room in to the other, all whilst being mum to my beautiful 5 month old boy. The room is really taking shape and I will share a picture of two when it is looking presentable...

Sunday Stash & Eye Spy...What I am reading now

My stash this week is yarn too, of the Cotton variety and on sale at my local haberdashery chain store... these were the only colours left in the 8 ply, but I was promised they will be getting more in, as I want to (eventually) make one of these... first inspired by 1/4 of an inch...
I also managed to add to my button stash... who could say no to this lot for $2.00?
There are more stashes courtesy of 1/4 of an inch.
Check out Tamara's stashy goodness over here...
And another work in progress begins...
here's how...
This week Monique of A glass half full has asked us Eye Spy-ers what we are currently reading...
I am really missing reading since bubba was born. I'm no longer able to read a book in a day! If I do get a chance to read, like sometimes when I am feeding the baby, this is what I have been reading.... Secret lives of great authors: What Your Teachers Never Told You About Famous Novelists, Poets, and Playwrights
If you are in to literature you would love this book, it is funny, intriguing and surprising! Find out which authors were drug addicts, who had weird friendships with children or who had rotten, fetid teeth?!
Thanks to Cindy for the Eye Spy Eye-dear! Pop on over to Bug and Pop for more.

Work In Progress...

I have been envisioning this in the future as a finished blanket on my sons first bed.
I have been imagining it keeping him warm at night, being dragged out to the couch to watch a movie, being kicked off the bed in the middle of the night and laying on the floor in the morning...
I can see him loving it as a small child, being embarrassed by it as a teenager and being proud of it as an adult...
My mind wanders while I crochet...

Sunday Stash...

Like the wonderful housekeeper I am I did not wash clothes today (although I did wash the cloth nappies), instead I washed, iron and folded the fabric I brought from the Stitches and Craft show and that I received from Melissa...
...and thanks to Natasha's stash organisation template I will be able to keep track of my ever growing stash!
Thanks for helping us share our stashes Tamara!

Eye Spy... My new favourite blog

Jhoanna of One Red Robin chose this weeks lovely Eye Spy theme.
One Red Robin is one of my all time favourite blogs, but my new favourite blog? There are so many....
Jhoanna gave me the inspiration I needed to start going through my huge 'favourite's list on my computer. As a result I have updated the blogs I follow, I will update my side bar soon.
So here are some of the blogs I started following today... my new favourites...

Che and Fidel

My Black Cardigan

PS. I didn't give myself enough time to ask permission to use these images from these blogs, so if you own the images and want me to remove them, please let me know and I will. :)

This cheeky boy...
