My first true wine tasting event yesterday.
While we tasted each offering, some made notes about the 'body', what was 'on the nose' and previous vintages. My notes consisted of more frivolous observations and amused me no end.

I hope you had a happy Queensland day yesterday too.

Yesterday there was sun, sand and pelicans.
This Mama was so pleased that we went adventuring between our weekend tasks and had a moment to be with Cohen and share his amazement at the wildlife.
See him holding Daddy's hand? He was all too ready to get more than just his toes wet, despite the chill of the water or the fact that Mama hadn't packed any spare clothes.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend with those you love.

'Linen and thread' - found at the library.
I love this 'French linen' look, with it's natural linen worked in bold red and muted colourings. Such lovely details and a lovely book.
I'm quite taken with the simple braided bed set in the first pic, those cushions and fabric baskets.
I wonder if I have the patience required?

My Apron for Amanda.
'Antique Treasures' fabric, pleated, with a bias edging and a vintage doily hand sewn on as a pocket.
I hope she likes it.

Yesterday a box landed on my doorstep, covered in stamps and feeling quite weighty. Inside I found the sweetest apron and cupcake ingredients!
Thank you Amanda! The apron is beautiful. I love the colours and the 50's feel with the polka dots. And buttons! I love buttons!
My new apron and that cupcake mix will be put to use very soon!

My Creative Space...

Out computer is giving us a humming sound, a green light and little else. So while it's booting difficulties are being addressed I am grateful for library computers. The Grandmothers Garden quilt is growing with each hexagon flower added. It is rather more feminine than I first anticipated, but I am loving the softness of it and the play between the florals and children's prints. - More Creative Spaces here.

Sun, coffee, home made banana bread.
I think today is going to be a good day.
