I found four little ceramic eggcups while thrifting and was struck by a little crafty thought of how to decorate them myslef...
You can find these Porcelaine pens at craft stores, I brought mine at Spotlight, and they are designed to be dishwasher resistant. You are able to draw on to clean ceramic surfaces, leave them to dry overnight and then set them by placing them in a warm oven for half an hour, and ta-dah, you can design your own kitchen items. You can even wipe the design off while it is wet, and re-do it. Just make sure you clean it off thoroughly or you will get a stain once the piece is fired.
I have read that the ingredients aren't food safe, but on the outside is fine. The pens come in other colours too. Wouldn't it be great to let your child decorate a plate and hang it on a wall, or write quotes on coffee mugs, perhaps secret messages beneath plates or some Easter decorating? So simple and easy. Flat surfaces would be easier to draw on, the curve of the egg cups made it a bit trickier - which is my excuse for the wobbly drawings.
Still, I see more ceramic decorating in my future...
More creative spaces here.

I'm not sponsored by Porcelaine, I just wanted to share this little project with you.
