My Creative Space...

In a previous life I was a jeweller.
Metal became my medium at University during a Fine Arts degree.
I pursued a career in the jewellery trade and at the bench.
I sold, I made, I repaired, I designed, I learnt.
-
I started a family.
My tools sat neglected on my bench.
Pangs of guilt when I passed them.
-
And now, now I am thinking of metal again. Thinking of the smell of flux, the colour of the flame, the fall of the filings. Now I am sketching, designing, dreaming and setting goals.
I am cleaning off my bench, I am laying out each file and hanging each pair of pliers and rediscovering my creative space.
